FARM DAY CAMP Program - Grand Rapids MI

These pictures are just a sampling of Farm Day Camp's First year 2005. Summer Farm Camp 2006 and 2007 went great and all the kids had lots of FUN!!

Our Camp is different then most camps in that, instead of meeting for one week everyday ~ Classes meet ONE day a week over a period of 6 weeks in the summer. This way the Children are able to watch their gardens and the animals grow over the summer! Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I enroll up to 8 children each day. (I do have an assistant) Class runs from 9am to 1pm

What do we do at Farm Camp? We grow a BIG garden - we grow beans, corn, tomatoes, peapods, pumpkins, gaint sunflowers, carrots, radishes, cucumbers, peppers and lettuce - We take care of and watch our animals grow - chicks, ducklings, piglets, bunnies, twin calves, our little lamb, goats, Our Pony, Our Mule and of course kitties! We also have a good time learning about all the animals, hearing stories, playing games, doing crafts and making new friends!

Farm Summer Camp 2008 Details
Camp will start the week of June 16th and end July 31st.
We will have two Garden Planting/Open House days (probably May 29th and May 31st)

I will be holding four classes (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
Class runs from 9am to 1pm, Morning snack is provided, bring a lunch.

Each class will have space for 6 children ages 3 1/2 to 9
This year I will also be accepting 2 "helpers" ages 10-13 each day

Total cost for one child is $175 (includes $25 registration fee)
Kids ages 10-13 enrolling as "helpers" will have a discounted tuition rate of $100.
Each Camper will receive a White T-Shirt with The Farm Camp logo emboirdered on it, along with their name. Each Camper will also Paint a Wooden Barn Shaped Birdhouse and then earn a Different Farm animal to add to their barns each week!!

(bring a sack lunch)

Cost:
3-5 year olds $25 for the day
6-9 year olds $20 for the day
10-13 year olds $15 for the day
